The club was founded in 2024 by Ian, a longtime resident of Mexico and a gay travel writer who saw a gap in what was available to men in CDMX.
Gay life in the city was often limited to dating apps and bar culture, and while sex-positive spaces existed, few focused on community first.
What began as a small monthly gathering among friends has now evolved into a growing community of open-minded men seeking more than just hookupsāmen seeking genuine connection, shared experiences, and a space to feel seen.

Ian is a gay travel writer, journalist, and resident of Mexico with deep roots in the community. He has spent two decades writing about Mexican culture, politics, and queer identity, and has hosted countless travelers in his home through Couchsurfing and Misterb&b.
Ian created CDMX Menās Club with a vision to bring people together beyond dating appsāoffering spaces where men could talk, laugh, flirt, explore, and grow in an atmosphere of safety and authenticity. When heās not organizing events, you can find him biking through the city, drinking mezcal in a quiet cantina, or leading walking tours on the history of queer Mexico.
